Pedalhounds have done it again! Another sunny superbly run, fun event from Paul and the Pedalhounds crew.

This event was based in the Land of Nod, Hampshire UK and was made up of 5 stages with 3 laps of each stage. The stages were short and sweet and were left quite natural with no built features such as jumps or berms so lots of technical flat corners to try and negotiate whilst keeping your speed.

The event was another sellout and the Double Drop team was there with riders Katie Beaven, Ben Matthews and myself Will Brett (Hopefully get more of the team at the rest of the races).

It was an interesting race for the team consider myself and Kate got back late the night before after a week of skiing in the alps so legs were not in prime condition for racing and we really felt the fatigue right from the beginning of the race. Happy with the results all the same with Kate getting 12th in a really large female cat (Ages 18-39!!!) and myself getting 9th in Hardtail. Ben was having an incredible run until he washed out on a flat corner and then hit a tree later on losing valuable seconds and finishing overall in 9th position in Men’s senior.

Was also really nice to see a good turn out of Double Drop Brand Ambassadors at the race including Kate Wakeley, Gimena Souto and James Robertson. Congrats to them all on great results.

Big shout out to Kate Wakely who came first in Women’s 18-39. Kate is a force to be reckoned with. Kate (winner of Women’s Redbull foxhunt 2018, Southern Enduro Series, Southern Champs) is really going places so make sure you give her a follow on her Facebook and Instagram pages.

The next round will be Southern Enduro Round 1 at QECP headdown followed by Round 3 of Pedalhounds at Penshurst Bike Park as well as the BEMBA round 1 at Afan
